It is the object of Toluca Baseball to provide your children with a wholesome atmosphere in which to engage in healthy athletic competition. Our primary goals are to build character in our children and to instill in them a passion for sports, in general, and for the game of baseball, in particular. Due to the excitement and high emotion that comes with sports, it is important to express some guidelines regarding what we expect from you, our Toluca parents. Please know that the league encourages cheering, excitement and exuberance, but be careful to always express this in a positive manner.
- We will not tolerate any behavior on the playing field or in the stands which would hinder the
spirit of sportsmanship and co-operation that we encourage.
- At no time will we permit abusive language or profanity.
- No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the vicinity of North Weddington, South Weddington or
Valley Plaza Parks.
- No smoking is allowed on the baseball fields, in the dugout areas or within 20 feet of the stands.
- The speed limit in the parking lots is 5 mph. Please drive with extreme caution, watch for
children and respect the neighbors as you travel through the neighborhood and the parking lots.
- Parents are expected to keep our facilities clean and free of litter.
- Parents are not permitted to coach their children from the stands. The managers and coaches are the sole determiners of game tactics and strategies. Coaches and players often have specific signs and prearranged scenarios. Fans should not interfere. Parents interested in volunteering time and energy as a coach should approach the manager of their child’s team or a league official and request to participate. All coaches and managers or parents volunteering to be on the field must be fingerprinted and processed in the same manner as those already selected to coach.
- Open criticism of umpires, managers, coaches or players by parents in the stands is prohibited. Parents are expected to set examples for our children of how to behave when a disagreement with an individual on the field occurs. Civilized requests to clarify events that took place during the game are permitted at its conclusion. Remember, your children are watching!!
- The conduct of guests at the fields is the responsibility of the parent or guardian whose child
participates in the league.
- THE TOLUCA BASEBALL BOARD OF DIRECTORS IS COMMITTED TO ENSURING A FUN AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE PLAYERS, COACHES AND PARENTS. ANY PLAYER, COACH OR PARENT WHO IS EJECTED FROM A LEAGUE OR TRAVEL BASEBALL GAME, SHALL BE SUSPENDED FROM THE NEXT FOLLOWING BASEBALL GAME.
